This infographic illustrates the function, structure and scientific mission of the James Webb Space Telescope. In January 2022, it reached its planned orbit around the Lagrange point L2, around 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. Since then, the space telescope has been showing fabulous images from the depths of space HERE.
